What Is Skin Resurfacing?
Ozmedica offers laser skin resurfacing, a great rejuvenation technique that can help to treat a number of skin conditions on your face and body. Whether you are noticing the effects of ageing or too much time in the sun, skin resurfacing can help your skin look younger and healthier by addressing any blotches, scars, lines or wrinkles.
Frequently Asked Questions
*Immediately after treatment, you may notice swelling, which is normal. Your doctor may prescribe steroids to manage the swelling. It is also normal to experience itching or stinging for up to 72 hours after the procedure. After about a week, your skin will become dry and begin to peel.
You may notice that you have a lighter complexion after the surgery, so make sure you use a “broad spectrum” sunscreen to protect your vulnerable skin. Make sure you find one that is specially formulated for your face and has SPF 30 or higher. Stay out of the sun when possible and wear protective clothing.
Healing generally takes anywhere from 10 to 21 days. Once your skin has healed, oil-free makeup can cover up redness, which fades in 2 to 3 months.
