Turn back time. A subtle, natural,
youth-enhancing treatment to
reverse the signs of ageing
Dermal fillers are an effective and long-lasting way of
combating the appearance of ageing by increasing the volume
in or under your skin.
As we age, our faces change shape. Skin loses elasticity, youthful
fat pads disappear, and levels of hyaluronic acid, a naturally
occurring substance in our bodies, diminish. (That youthful, dewy
plumpness you see in children’s faces is partly due to a higher
amount of hyaluronic acid.)
Small changes can
make a big difference
Fillers are a wonderful product to help restore or enhance the
cheeks, brows, jawline, eye area, face and lips. Dermal fillers can
be used either as wrinkle fillers, to correct or minimise the
appearance of wrinkles, or as volumising fillers to add shape or
enhance areas such as the cheek or lips. They can also be
injected into skinfolds, such as the nasolabial folds in between
the mouth and the cheek, to soften the line and give a more
There’s a vast variety of fillers available today, created to address
many different aesthetic requirements. At Ozmedica, your doctor
will choose the appropriate products required to suit your needs.

Questions about Anti Wrinkle Injections
Is it painful?
Dermal fillers are, surprisingly, not very painful. All our fillers contain Lignocaine, an anaesthetic that quickly numbs the pain, so after the first briefly painful prick, very little sensation can be felt. If preferred, we can also apply ice to numb the area and use a topical numbing cream. These combined pain relievers significantly reduce any discomfort.
When will I see the results?
You’ll see a result instantly after the procedure. By the time you walk out of the clinic you’ll already see a marked improvement in your appearance. However, the best results from the treatment will take a couple of days, once all residual swelling has dissipated.
How long will dermal fillers last?
Depending on your chosen filler, clinical studies indicate a longevity of up to 24 months. Our doctors will discuss this topic with you at your appointment.
Are there any side-effects?
Side-effects from dermal fillers are rare. However, side-effects can occur and may include bruising, firmness, swelling, itching, pain or discolouration at the treatment site. If you’re concerned about any side-effects you’re experiencing, please call the clinic immediately.
Are there any risks
As dermal fillers are made of a naturally occurring substance in the body and are designed to replace lower levels of those substances, risks are extremely minimal. You may suffer a small amount of bruising for up to a week after your treatment. There may be mild puffing or swelling, which can be remedied by applying a cold pack to the area for a few minutes. If the swelling is concerning you, contact the clinic for further instructions.
What if I don’t like my fillers?
If you don’t like the outcome of your dermal fillers, for any reason at all, the procedure can be reversed by having a solvent injected directly into the area.
How much does it cost?
As we use such a wide range of dermal fillers, it is difficult for us to provide an exact cost. We offer complimentary consultations and treatment plans for all clients, where all costs will be outlined in full.
