What is the Medlite Laser Facial and what does it treat?
The Medlite Laser Facial is our lightest laser facial treatment at Ozmedica. To achieve this, we bring the settings of our Medlite C6 laser machine back to their lightest settings.
At these settings, this laser treatment is one of the lightest that can be found, but at the same time, due to the specific settings, it is highly effective at treating some issues that can be difficult to treat by other means.
Overall, it is a rejuvenating, stimulating, light laser facial with no down-time, very low levels of redness just after treatment, and the most minimal side effects seen in laser facials, yet significant visible effects and improvements are noticed by our clients at Ozmedica over the ensuing weeks.
Clients share that friends and family say they look well – refreshed and rejuvenated, yet no specific evidence of any treatment is apparent.
The Medlite Laser Facial has been proven to be highly effective for the hormonal pigmentation that some women experience, called Melasma. If you’re experiencing Melasma, you’re likely to find this laser treatment to be one of the most highly effective options available today. Our clinicians and doctors are available to discuss your best options in a free consultation we provide for all new patients.
The Medlite Laser Facial is the perfect introduction to laser facials, and can be used on a wide variety of skin tones.
If you have never experienced Laser Facials before the Medlite Laser Facial is a highly recommended place to start.
Who is Medlite Laser Facial for?
The laser facial is great for almost all skin tones and skin types. Whether it be pigmentation you are concerned about, enlarged pores, acne scars, sun damaged skin, fine lines, uneven skin or for general rejuvenation – we’ve got you covered. It is also great for sensitive skin if manual exfoliation can not be tolerated. The treatments can be repeated 2-4 weeks apart depending on your concern.
How does the Medlite Laser Facial work?
The Medlite Laser effectively utilises specific wavelengths to target certain chromophores and stimulate new collagen production. The homogenous beam delivers energy evenly over the skin’s surface, minimising epidermal injury and increasing patient satisfaction. This makes for a very safe and effective treatment. Lasers can penetrate much deeper than any skincare, therefore creating a dramatic boost in the look and feel of your skin.
The effect of the laser is to specifically break up older cells, superficial pigments and debris in the epidermis, and to stimulate activity of the fibrocytes, deeper in the dermal layer of the skin. Because it targets superficial pigments, this laser treatment will also lighten the fine facial hairs or cause temporary loss of hair, which most clients see as a bonus. Because of this feature, it can’t be used on areas like eyebrows, facial hair areas for men, and any area there are darker hairs.
Over the next few weeks you will notice a continued improvement in the treated area, with a much more even skin tone, reduced pigmentation, skin renewal with fewer wrinkles and a smoother appearance to your skin.
What would I expect in a Medlite Laser Facial Treatment?
When you first come in for your session, you will be taken to one of our private, well-appointed rooms, and our aesthetic professionals will cleanse your face from all makeup and residue with our quality products.
You will be given eye protection, as is done in all laser treatments, and as the clinician starts to use the Medlite laser on your skin, you’ll notice a warmth and light flicking or pulsing sensation, which can easily be tolerated.
The laser part of the session usually takes on average 15 minutes depending on the size of the area being treated.
